Online in minutes
A one-pager or a simple placeholder site is up in no time – there is hardly a faster way to get online.
Create a website with AI
A finished website in minutes with an AI builder – that sounds tempting, and for some purposes it is even true. This page honestly assesses when that is enough and when it is not.

The fair assessment
A one-pager or a simple placeholder site is up in no time – there is hardly a faster way to get online.
Hosting, layout and the technical basics are handled by the platform – you answer a few questions, the rest happens in the background.
Instead of a project budget you pay a monthly subscription – a low hurdle for the beginning.
The templates are visually solid: tidy, modern and usable on mobile, too.
The AI delivers starter texts and image suggestions instead of leaving you in front of a blank page.
Testing an idea, an interim solution, hobby and club projects – purposes where the website does not have to sell anything.

The honest question
01 — The builder is enough when …
You want to test an idea, the budget is tight, the website is a digital business card without an acquisition job – and you enjoy maintaining it yourself. Then an AI builder is a perfectly legitimate choice.
02 — An agency is worth it when …
Visibility and SEO matter, your brand has to be distinguishable, and you want to put your time into your business instead of the website. Then it takes strategy, structure and craftsmanship – things no builder delivers.
Which route applies to you is decided by your goal — not by my order book. If the builder is enough, I will tell you so.
How I work
Positioning, page structure and content grow out of your business and actual demand – not out of a template.
Drafts, text variants, speed: where AI accelerates the work, I use it deliberately – as a tool, not as an autopilot.
Clean technology, fast load times and solid SEO fundamentals are built by hand – that is where the push of a button ends.
After launch, the website keeps moving: content, technology and visibility are maintained continuously – more under website maintenance.
That is exactly how I work at Southframe: AI accelerates my work – but it replaces neither strategy nor craftsmanship. Websites are created personally from Regensburg, and projects further afield are just as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Technically yes: AI website builders such as Wix ADI, Framer AI or Durable generate a finished website from just a few details. For a simple one-pager, a hobby project or an interim solution, that can be perfectly sufficient. What the AI does not deliver is strategy, a structure built along actual demand and a distinguishable brand – and that is exactly what decides whether the website is merely online or actually brings in inquiries.
Most providers work with a monthly subscription, and the entry price is deliberately kept low – specific prices depend on the provider and plan and change constantly. More important than the subscription fee is a different calculation: the real costs arise when the website does not work – when it brings no inquiries, is barely found or fails to convince prospects. A cheap website with no impact ends up more expensive than one that wins customers.
The technical base of many builders is decent – but that alone is not enough for visibility. Generated texts rarely answer the actual search intent, the page structure follows the template rather than the demand, and depth of content is usually missing. Visibility on Google and in AI systems comes from strategy, structure and content that exists only once. My page on SEO & GEO shows how I approach this.
Often only to a limited extent. Most builders are closed systems: texts and images can usually be saved, but design, structure and the technical base are tied to the platform and do not move with you. A later switch therefore frequently amounts to a rebuild. That is no drama if you know it in advance – it just should be part of the decision.
Yes. The free website check works regardless of what the website was built with – including builder and AI websites. You will learn where your website stands, what it already does well and where the biggest levers are. And if the builder is enough for your purpose, that is exactly what I will tell you.
