Website maintenance

Your website is live. I make sure it stays that way.

Hosting, care, updates and ongoing development: with ongoing maintenance, your website stays current, fast and visible – without you having to take care of it yourself.

What maintenance includes

  • Hosting & technology on request
  • Updates & new content
  • Also for existing websites
  • No hosting lock-in

After going live

A website is never “finished”.

Nobody feels responsible

The website runs on the side – until something breaks and nobody knows who can help.

Small changes pile up

New opening hours, a team member, an offer – without a go-to contact, small things take forever.

Content goes stale

What was current at launch is often no longer accurate two years later – and visitors notice.

Errors go unnoticed

Broken links, form problems or warnings often only surface once inquiries stop coming in.

Visibility stagnates

Without ongoing work on content and structure, potential on Google and in AI search stays untapped.

Scope of services

What website maintenance can include.

Not every website needs everything – I define the scope together, matched to your website and goals.

Hosting & operation

  • Hosting on request
  • Technical setup
  • Ongoing technical operation
  • Monitoring on request

Updates & content

  • Smaller changes
  • Adding new content
  • New pages & extensions

Technology & quality

  • Bug fixes
  • Keeping an eye on performance
  • Checking forms & features

Ongoing development

  • SEO/GEO development
  • Sharpening structure & content
  • Targeted optimizations

Visibility is not a one-off project – how I keep developing it: SEO & GEO at Southframe

Hosting flexibility

Maintenance does not mean dependency.

Southframe takes over

I handle hosting, operation and care – you have one point of contact for everything and never have to deal with servers, domains or technical details.

You host it yourself

Your website runs on your own infrastructure, and I take over only defined services – updates, content, ongoing development. A complete handover of the website is also possible.

No hosting lock-in: both routes are equally valid – you decide what fits your business.

Who is this for?

Maintenance pays off for more businesses than you'd think.

Businesses without a webmaster

There's no one in-house looking after technology and the website – and that's how it should stay.

Small teams

Every hour counts – website upkeep is not the best use of your time.

Southframe clients

After the project, things continue seamlessly – I know your website down to the last detail.

Websites built elsewhere

I also take over websites built by other agencies – after a short technical review up front.

After a relaunch

The new website stays current, fast and visible – instead of slowly going stale again.

Local businesses

A personal contact from the region instead of anonymous ticket systems.

By the way: if your website mainly needs a one-off improvement, website optimization is the better fit – ongoing maintenance isn't required for that. And if a new website needs to be built first: web design at Southframe.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about website maintenance.

What does website maintenance include?

Depending on what I agree: hosting and technical operation, smaller updates and new content, bug fixes, performance care and the ongoing development of structure and visibility (SEO/GEO). What makes sense depends on your website and your goals – I define the scope together instead of squeezing you into a rigid package.

Does Southframe have to have built the website?

No. I also look after websites built by other agencies or in-house. Before taking over, I review the website technically – honestly, not every foundation can be maintained economically, and that is exactly what I tell you before any costs arise.

Can I keep my own hosting?

Yes. There is no hosting lock-in: you can stay with your current provider, and I take over defined services such as updates, content or ongoing development. Alternatively, I take over hosting and operation completely – both routes are equally valid.

Does Southframe also handle the hosting?

If you wish, yes: I take care of hosting, technical setup and day-to-day operation. You have a single point of contact and never have to deal with servers, domains or technical details.

Are changes to the website included?

I define that together in advance: what kind of changes come up regularly and at what volume is agreed transparently – so you know what is covered and there are no surprises. Larger extensions are discussed and quoted separately.

Can SEO be developed further as part of the maintenance?

Yes – visibility is not a one-off project. As part of ongoing care, content, structure and technical fundamentals can be developed continuously, also with AI search systems in mind. My page on SEO & GEO shows how I work on this.

How much does website maintenance cost?

That depends on the agreed scope: hosting and technical care are something different from ongoing care with regular content and SEO development. That is why I quote individually – after a short conversation about your website and your goals, you receive a transparent offer.
